I wish I had something new to tell you

but all I've been doing lately is rewriting, travel articles, poetry, nothing really sexy, well maybe I've been doing a few things really sexy but not necessarily writing about them. Yet. Here's a little poetry. (I'm not really this depressed right this very second ; ) )
Then go see all my blog friends, they have been up to great things!

A PSYCHIC STORM

Lashed
Like cold rain
Against a window
In a gale
And then a
Lull

Whipped
Like the last leaf
In a gust
And then calm
Floating

Thrashed
like a branch
And then still
Aching

One miserable day
Dawns into a brilliant
Blue next

Breath taken
Schizoid
Manic
Depressive
Bipolar
That is winter

Isabel!
Hi! Long time no talking. I think your poem sums up the winter blahs perfectly.

I hope your holidays were wonderful. :-)

Hey Isabel,

Woke up to ice on the trees and grass. Very pretty, but not much fun to play in, methinks.

Love your winter poem!

Hi Neve,

Great to hear from you and a belated congratulations on all things publishing!

Holidays were great too, thanks, and now I can get back to work, which I look forward to.

Best of everything for 2009!

Quite a nice poem - especially like the line "One miserable day dawns into a brilliant blue next"

ah, winter. the UPS driver complemented our clear driveway today (sleet, ice and snow - it was fun shoveling) - small pleasures

Thank you very much too, Erobintica.

You get it too.
